GENERAL INFORMATION
*Location by water is at the 4 mile marker of the Garvois arm.

ENTERING AND EXITING HOUSE
Entry instructions into the house and security code will be sent via US Postal
or faxed to you upon receipt of finial balance payment.

PHONE CALLS
Phone is set up to accommodate local calls and all incoming calls.
Outbound long distance calls will require a credit card, calling card or toll free number.

HOUSE KEEPING
House is equipped with a water softener. For dishwasher, laundry washer and other
devices requiring soap, use half the amount you are use to using, this will help with
proper rinsing. Additional Patio chairs stored in garage or in boat dock storage room.
Please put back all chairs before check out.

Please do not wash sheets or towels. Leave towels hanging to dry either on towel racks,
shower doors or hangers. Please do not pile them together.

When leaving house please sign our guest book, put key back in cabinet and lock all
doors.

OUTDOOR GRILLS AND FIREPLACE
Feel free to use firewood for inside fireplace or outside wood burning fire pit but
always be present when burning fires. Propane BBQ grill is there for your cooking
pleasure, please shut off main gas and cover when finished using. Additional propane
tank is usually available and stored in the garage.

BOAT LAUNCHING
The closest one. Go back to Towering Oak black top road, where you entered the Villiage
of Gentle Slopes, go right on black top about 1 mile to 0 Road. Turn left on 0 Road, about
1 mile on the left side of the road you will see a sign that says "boat ramp", turn left on
dirt road and follow to ramp. This is a private ramp and there is a small charge for launching
from this ramp. This ramp is about a 10 minute ride by water to the house.

BOAT DOCK
Available for your use is a swim deck and one covered 10' x 30' boat slip, and water slide.
Dock has lights and is wired for electrical devices. Please shut off dock lights when not
being used. Water depth when on the dock will vary according to lake levels. Typically
during summer months water depth at shallow end (closest to house) will vary in depth
from 5' to 8', NEVER DIVE OFF THE DOCK, always jump feet first from ONLY the deep end.
Dock is equipped with a swim ladder for your swimming convenience. Please when ladder
is not in use, lift out of water and secure with holding pin.
Each person is responsible for his or her own water safety and life saving devices.
Children ages 12 and under will be required to wear approved personal flotation when on
the boat dock and ramp at all times. No Exceptions. No hard play, pushing or unsafe
behavior will be permitted on or near the water.
Boat Trailer must be stored on the property on the driveway.

GROCERY STORE
Two large grocery stores in Laurie, MO., approximately 5 miles from the house. There is a
small convenience store with a gas station very close, it is located just east of Towering Oak
on 0 Road.

GOLF
Championship golf at the lake! Indian Rock Golf Club, offers public rates, Located 1 1/2 miles
west of Towering Oak, on 0 Road. Phone: 573-372-3023, www.indianrockgolf.com.

THEATERS
Lake West Cinema, offers a 5 theater cinema, arcade room, handicapped seating. Located
2 miles west of Towering Oak, on 0 Road. Phone: 573-372-6400, www.lakewestcinema.com.

DIRECTIONS

BY LAND
From south Kansas City, Kansas:
Take Hwy. I-435 east to Hwy. I-470 east, to Hwy. 50 east to Sedalia, MO.

From Sedalia, MO
At Hwy. 50 at Sedalia turn right (south) on Hwy. 65 go approx. 16 miles to Hwy. 52,
turn left (east) go approximate. 17 miles to Stover, turn right on Hwy. 135 (south),
go approx. 20 miles to Hwy. 5. at Laurie, MO. turn right (south), go approx. 1 mile to
Hwy. 0, turn left (east) go approx. 5 miles to Towering Oak Road, turn left, go
approx. 1 mile on the left you will see the entrance to, The Villiage Of Gentle Slopes,
turn left and continue to house on right.

From St. Louis, MO
Take Hwy. I-70 west to Hwy. 65 turn left (south) to Sedalia, MO.
